The feature documentary follows Bob and Angel, a homeless couple in Milwaukee, as well as other friends and acquaintances. More than just a Day in the Life, the documentary examines what it means to be homeless or help the homeless in Madison and anywhere.
Working as audio technician, co-producer.
(stay tuned for productions stills, updates, trailer and more)
2) a feature narrative dramatic TV series. Stay tuned for . . . everything.
I was the assistant editor for this documentary in the fall of 2010. The director, Nathan Clarke, had shot footage over the course of 3 years, and had roughed together scene cards with a brief description and what he wanted the scene to accomplish.
With guidance and final editing power resting with Nathan, I edited the film the film and DVD extras over the course of a few months.
The documentary made its debut at the Wisconsin Film Festival in April of 2011 to stellar reviews, and has been to various other festivals since, and will be released on DVD this summer.
I used Final Cut Pro to edit the documentary (and InqScribe to do a good deal of transcribing).
I helped film and edit the in-studio scenes for this video for Fourth Line Films for Synergy. I used various video, light, and sound equipment, as well as a teleprompter.
Done for Paste Magazine in February 2010. Recorded with two Sony cameras (all hand-held), edited with Final Cut video, inter-cut with music, pictures, footage, and a music video from the band (used with permission). I loved how they name-dropped Erykah Badu so much, I had to name-drop their name-drop.
I spent a few weeks in Duluth, Minnesota, working with Rob Larson on an independent film. Rob is currently teaching media and journalism at the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, and studying for a doctorate at the European Graduate School in Saas-Fee, Switzerland.
I worked as co-assistant director, script supervisor, and camera operator (and occasionally craft service provider, grip, boom operator, squib-maker, and go-getter).
We used two Sony HVR-Z1U Digital cameras (handheld), internal audio, natural lighting supplemented with one professional light, and Sony Vegas Pro editor.
